20 contestants cook each day. Each day sends its Top 6 forward — 18 contestants in all.

Semi Final
The Top 18 face off on one stage. Only 6 survive the heat and move to the finalists round.

Finalists Round
Top 6 battle for two seats at the finale table. Two finalists are crowned.

Signature Dish Audition (26 August)
Bring your best home-cooked signature dish to the audition venue. Our expert judges will evaluate every dish based on Taste, Presentation, Creativity, Hygiene, and Technique. The Top 60 contestants will qualify for the next stage.

League Cooking Rounds (28 August – 1 September)
Qualified contestants will compete in exciting live cooking challenges at Fusion Fiesta Lounge. All cooking stations, gas stoves, utensils, vegetables, spices, and ingredients will be provided by the organizers. Every round is an elimination round where contestants cook under time pressure to impress the judges.

Grand Finale
(2 September)
The best contestants will battle for the prestigious title of Swad Star – Season 1 Champion. Cook live before renowned judges and a cheering audience for the chance to lift the championship trophy, win exciting prizes, and earn recognition as one of Vidarbha’s finest home chefs.

The main competition runs across 6 days, with participants competing daily during this period.

Category draw, kitchen allotment, event schedule, and briefing document will be shared with all registered participants.
20 Jul • 9:00 AM
Competition Day
Participants should arrive by 8:30 AM for check-in. The competition runs until 4:00 PM, followed by the prize distribution ceremony at 3:30 PM.
2 Aug
Celebrate the winners as trophies, prizes, and certificates are presented during the official closing ceremony.

Do I need to bring my own dish?
Only on 26 Aug. The audition round requires one home-cooked signature dish brought from your kitchen.
Who can participate?
The competition is open to passionate home cooks from across Vidarbha — no professional experience required.
What should I bring on competition days?
Just yourself and your talent. Cooking stations, stoves, utensils, vegetables, spices and pantry items are arranged for you.
What about ingredients in the later rounds?
From League Round 1 onwards, all cooking infrastructure and essential ingredients are provided by the organizers.
Do I need professional cooking experience?
No. Swad Star is built for home chefs. Passion, taste and creativity matter far more than a formal background.
Where is the competition held?
All rounds are hosted by Fusion Fiesta Lounge, the official venue and power partner of Season 1.
